To enter Cambodia, a visa is required for most travelers. There are two ways to obtain a Cambodian visa: through the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Berlin or by applying for an e-Visa.

1. Apply for a Visa at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Berlin
If you live in Germany, we recommend applying for a visa through the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Berlin, where you can receive personalized assistance and choose between in-person or postal application options.

a. In-Person Application at the Embassy
Visit the Embassy with the required documents anytime during office hours, without needing an appointment (check here for public holiday closures). Please bring the following:

  • Visa Application Form: Download, fill out, and print in advance, or obtain and complete the form on-site at the Embassy.
  • Original Passport: The visa will be affixed directly to your passport by the consular officer.
  • One Photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm): Taken within the last 6 months.
  • Visa Fee: Payment is accepted in cash only. If needed, you may also make a bank transfer and present proof of transfer at the Embassy.

Processing Time: 3 working days for Tourist (T) and Business (E) Visas.
Embassy Address: Benjamin-Vogelsdorff-Str. 2, 13187 Berlin, Germany

b. Postal Application
If you cannot travel to the Embassy, you may apply by post. Send the following documents to the Embassy:

  • Completed Visa Application Form: Download and fill out the form.
  • Original Passport
  • One Photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm): Taken within the last 6 months.
  • Proof of Bank Transfer: The transfer purpose should be listed as “Visa: [Last Name, First Name]”.
  • Return Envelope: Include a self-addressed, stamped return envelope. To avoid loss or damage to the passport, we recommend that you use a more secure postal service.

Processing Time: 3 working days for Tourist (T) and Business (E) Visas.
Visa Fee Payment: Please transfer the 40-euro visa and the postal fee to:

Bank Name: Deutsche Bank AG Berlin/Branch 701
Account Name: Royal Embassy of Cambodia
IBAN: DE74 1007 0100 0272 0498 10
BIC/SWIFT: DEUTDEBB101

Important: The Embassy is not liable for delays or losses caused by postal services. We recommend using registered mail or a courier service (e.g., DHL, FedEx, UPS) for secure delivery.
Incomplete applications or missing documents will not be processed, and additional documents may be requested at the consular officer's discretion.

2. Apply for an e-Visa
If you are unable to visit the Embassy or prefer not to apply by post, you may choose the convenient option of an e-Visa. This allows you to apply online through the official website of Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at https://www.evisa.gov.kh. Please note that not all Entry points will accept e-Visa. Please check all e-Visa details on the website.

  • Eligibility: Available for Tourist (T) visa applicants only.
  • Processing Time: Typically 3 business days.
  • Validity: Single entry within three months of issuance, with a stay of up to 30 days.
